Sao Beach (Bai Sao) is on the southeast coast of Phu Quoc, near An Thoi. From central Duong Dong or the airport it is a straightforward drive on paved roads. This guide covers one thing: getting there quickly and comfortably.
How long does it take?
- From central Duong Dong: about 24 km, 30–45 minutes by car.
- From Phu Quoc International Airport: about 18 km, 25–40 minutes by car.
Allow extra time at weekend peaks. Leave before 9 am for the best spots on the sand.
Which way to travel?
- SAO PHU QUOC shuttle: add it to your booking for hotel pickup. Ideal for families and groups. For airport pickup, please let us know at least 3 hours ahead.
- Taxi / Grab: easy to find at the airport and in town. Book your ride back early, as few empty cars pass through the south.
- Motorbike rental: flexible if you are confident riding here. Wear a helmet and watch for trucks on main roads.
